After the events of the first film, Namsang and Hangma settle into married life — but their peace is fragile. Namsang becomes deeply attached to the traditional Limbu drum, the Chyabrung, whose rhythms and cultural resonance become central to the story. Over time, his growing obsession with the drum leads him to neglect his domestic and family responsibilities, straining his relationship with Hangma.
When the Chyabrung gets damaged, it isn’t just a broken drum — it becomes a symbol of disrespect and a trigger for conflict. Amid these tensions, personal struggles entwine with the broader backdrop of political unrest and social change, forcing the couple (and their community) to confront issues of identity, tradition, love and resilience.
